Hannah Putnam a rejoint J.S. Held après une carrière dans le secteur automobile. With a unique education background and eight years of experience with one of the Big Three automotive companies, she brings insight into advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) and vehicle safety systems. During her time in automotive, she spent three years validating upcoming ADAS features delivered via Over-The-Air (OTA) updates, collecting CAN data for analysis of vehicle system integration and troubleshooting.
Hannah also spent two years with the Vehicle Evaluation and Verification team, testing and evaluating driver, passenger, and curtain airbag deployment under extreme temperatures. She was part of a rotational program that included time in restraints engineering and crash safety. She analyzed data from various in-house tests, including Small Offset Rigid Barrier (SORB) and frontal and side impacts.
At Penn State University, Hannah was an undergraduate researcher in the Computational Biomechanics Laboratory, exploring the structure and effect of impact on the calcaneus (heel) bone, specifically targeting military injuries due to explosives. For her Schreyer Honors College senior thesis, she worked in the Functional Biomechanics Laboratory using ultrasound and dynamometer technology to analyze the effect of the moment arm on the calf muscle strength through volume and torque comparison of size-controlled subjects.
Hannah began her role as a Senior Engineer in Accident Reconstruction in 2023. She specializes in vehicular accident investigation, reconstruction, and analysis, focusing on cases involving advanced driver assistance systems. Hannah holds a Master of Engineering in Systems Engineering and a dual Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering and Bioengineering with a Mechanical Engineering focus from Schreyer Honors College at Pennsylvania State University.
